  • What else do you do on a bank holiday except pull out a fence!! With a keen fencer who turns up on Sunday morning at 8.00am Grant had his Sunday rudely interupted when he realised that he needed to get the fence out. With the help of the tractor rather than a crow bar the posts finally came out

  • After paying out a large cheque for the sheds we are rewarded with a lovely sign for the gate and a hat. Hopefully in a few weeks they will actually give us the sheds!

  • After what seamed like forever, the local council finally granted Resource consent for the mill. With some requirments to widen our gate way and upgrade to light commercial standard.

  • Originally we had looked at the Mini Mill system back in 2004 but had been put off by the cost at that point. In addition with only arround 5000 alpacas in New Zealand at that time we were not overly confident that the alpaca population would support the mill. Now we have some 15,000 alpacas in New Zealand (2008 numbers) and the National Herd is growing, we still felt confident that our original thought to offer a serivce where smaller breeders could process their fleece without having to combin
